Boeing P-26 "Thunderbird"(Green/Yellow)
The American Boeing P-26, nicknamed the "Peashooter", was the first all-metal production fighter aircraft and the first pursuit monoplane used by the United States Army Air Corps. The prototype first flew in 1932, and were used by the Air Corps as late as 1941 in the Philippines. Manufactured by Aircraft Models Corp. of California, the creator of these fine sculptured aircraft. Each model is faithfully reproduced in kiln-dried Philippine mahogany. Each is carved, joined and sanded by hand. The deep, rich finish that distinguishes these models from all others is created when the artists hand-paint all of the details onto each piece. No decals are used. The final product is a beautiful wooden sculpture.
